The Joint MRBP-WRP Meeting in Lawrence, Kansas
A joint meeting of the Mississippi River Basin Panel (MRBP) and the Western Regional Panel (WRP) will be held in Lawrence, Kansas on September 17-19, 2025. This meeting is hosted by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.

Field Trip
On Friday, September 19th, Kansas Parks and Wildlife will host the group on a field trip to the Kansas River and Gardner Lake. The field trip will be limited to the first 50 registrants for participation. Those attending should plan for rain or shine conditions. There is no cost to attend the field trip. Plan Your Trip:
The meeting will be held in Lawrence, Kansas which is approximately 50 miles from the Kansas City International Airport, Kansas City. Lawrence Kansas is a college town with many walkable restaurants from the host hotel.
- Fly: The Kansas City International Airport is serviced by multiple large carrier airlines and many with direct flight options.
- Shuttle: Lawrence, Kansas is approximately 50 miles from the Kansas City International Airport (technically in Missouri). There are many airport shuttle options.
- Carpool: Consider coordinating your travel with other colleagues to minimize costs and reduce your carbon footprint.
- Walk: The host hotel is walkable to many coffee shops, lunch and dinner options. A rental car will not be needed for the duration of the meeting.

Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force Meetings
The last meeting was held virtually on July 8-9, 2025.
The Fall/Winter ANSTF meeting will be held the week of December 8, 2025, at the National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, WV.
